Carl Gustav Carus paints the manor house at Milkel, near Dresden, from its rear garden, under a still, moonlit sky. Two windows glow faintly, the only sign of anyone awake at that hour. What's the canvas print made from?
PolyCanvas fabric stretched over a sturdy wooden frame, printed with fade-proof sublimation printing and OEKO-TEX-certified inks, so there's nothing toxic in the print itself.
Will the print fade over time?
The sublimation printing is fade-proof by design, and holds up well under normal indoor light. Direct, constant sunlight will fade any print eventually, so we'd still avoid a spot that gets full sun all day.
How do I hang it?
Each canvas comes on a wooden frame, ready to hang. A single wall hook or nail through the back of the frame is usually enough.
How do I clean it?
A dry, soft cloth or a duster is enough for regular dust. Avoid water or cleaning sprays directly on the print.
Will the colors match what I see on my screen?
Screens vary a little from device to device, so there can be small differences, but we print from high-resolution source files to keep colors as close as possible to the original artwork.
Is this a real reproduction of the original artwork?
